Cordan, born in Trabzon (1971), received her B. Arch, M. Arch and Ph. D. in architecture from Black Sea Technical University. She won the first prize with A. Usta, Gülay K. Usta and Ayhan Karadayı in the architectural competition for the Environment Ministry in Turkey, in 2001. She had worked as a research assistant between the years 1992-2004 at Black Sea Technical University Department of Architecture. She has been teaching in the Department of Interior Architecture at Istanbul Technical University since 2007. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate programs. She has also an active research agenda as well as practicing.
